Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE)

Researchers identified 10 specific types of traumatic childhood experiences, known as ACEs, that are linked to a greater likelihood of difficulties later in life. Each type of trauma adds a point to your ACE score, and the higher the score, the greater the risk of health issues, social challenges, and emotional struggles in adulthood.

Attachment Styles

Studies show that your earliest emotional bonds with the person primarily responsible for your well-being (often a birth parent) can have a direct impact on the health of your future romantic relationships.

“Understanding how you interact with your partner and recognizing the reasons behind your reactions can make the healing process significantly easier,” says Peoples. “This awareness allows new ways of thinking to emerge, leading to positive changes in behavior.”
